The American Diabetes Association Leaders Forum this year will be headlined by the State of Diabetes breakfast and networking session. The State of Diabetes event includes a comprehensive panel discussion led by distinguished experts offering insights into topics impacting diabetes in our community. These discussions will be a catalyst for the Leaders Forum.
Leaders Forum, includes a HealthTech Showcase and Networking event, where 50 tech start-ups will pitch new products or technologies. Three finalists will be selected to present their innovations to a panel of judges at the luncheon where the winner will receive $10,000 in seed money.
Innovation in diabetes care is essential due to the increasing prevalence of the disease, the complexity of managing chronic conditions, and the need to improve quality of life for millions of individuals. Advancements in technology and treatment methods can lead to more effective monitoring, personalized therapies, and better overall management of diabetes. This, in turn, can reduce complications, lower healthcare costs, and empower patients to take control of their health.

8:00 AM: Check-in for State of Diabetes, Breakfast and Networking
The State of Diabetes Panel is an opportunity to share the foundation for why innovation in diabetes is so important. This segment serves as a pivotal gathering for influential figures from various sectors, engaging in critical discussions about the contemporary landscape of diabetes, its financial impact, the need for innovation, and how to leverage ADA resources. An expert panel discussion will provide valuable insights and foster collaboration.
Approximately 50 HealthTech start-ups will pitch their new products and technologies to venture capitalists, industry leaders, and investors. This networking session focuses on fostering interactions between attendees, investors, sponsors, and the showcased companies.
During lunch, three finalists will present their innovations to a panel of judges and the audience. The audience will vote to select the most promising start-up, which will receive $10,000 in seed funding and recognition.
